    Haiku for a northern country

    From the blue line mountains

We dream of on stilts cold city

    Where the heart is beating

    Coldness leaves body,

A breath makes smoke from your mouth,

    Hear the clock of time

    Ringing

    EXILE

". . . You will leave everything you love most:

this is the arrow that the bow of exile

shoots first. You will know how salty

another's bread tastes and how hard it

    is to ascend and descend

    another's stairs . . ."

    FOR THE ONE WITHIN ME

    A silent witness
    To my tornadoes
    And torpedoes
    To my actions
    And emotions
    All you witness
    Lurking invisible within
    Where have you been
    Before i brushed my
    Shoulders with you
    For a wink…?
    Different directions
    We traveled by
    Varied terrains
    We negotiated
    No, not together
    But before the shoulders
    Brushed past

    Stranger still
    How we crossed
    Each other’s path…
    And what difference it made!
In the silence of my being
I’ve none but you to share
    Each laughter and sorrow
    Every fleeting thought
    And emotion
    That I  assume you
    Silently absorb…

    Do you know
    The absorbed silence
    Speaks to me
    Comforts me?

    Still, let me confess

    At times
    It pricks me
    Worse than a thorn
    Even throws me
    Anto an abyss…
